Senior Financial Reporting Analyst at Southfield

Job Description

Responsibilities: A Kforce client is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in Southfield, Michigan (MI).Roles:

• Load data into financial reporting software, including required maintenance and reconciliation to source systems
• Prepare monthly reports internally and for group companies
• Assist with development and monitoring of processes and procedures
• Consolidate and analyze account reconciliations
• Complete commerce reports (US statistical reports)
• Special improvement projects (NA reports, NA accounting support, other)
• Maintain Reporting Dashboard
• Following documented procedures and policies, complete and accurate financial data should be available in both the reporting systems and the financial reports
• Utilizing strong communication and analysis skills, continuous improvements should be made to the reporting process and intercompany reconciliations through additional policies and ongoing training/feedback provided to all North American affiliates
• Under limited direction, performs support activities associated with the monthly financial consolidation/reporting process for all North American affiliates including loading financial-related data, reconciling to transactional systems and maintaining financial software and reports
• Responsible for accuracy of financial information, assisting with preparation of consolidated financial statements and monthly financial reporting package, including footnote disclosures
• Monitors and analyzes enterprise-wide financial results and trends
• Consolidates and analyzes quarterly account reconciliations
• Assists with standardization of policies and procedures across all North American affiliates and monitoring the application of these policies
• Acts as an internal consultant with respect to meeting the financial reporting needs of the organization
• Completes Commerce Reporting packages and maintains monthly reporting calendar. Performs other related duties as required

Job Requirements

Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. CPA or CMA highly preferred
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience with financial audit, consolidations and intercompany work
• Strong systems skills
• Hyperion, Excel, GAAP knowledge, analytical skills, self-starter with ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and implement countermeasures, strong written and oral communication skills
• IFRS knowledge and JD Edwards experience highly preferred
• Prior project management experience preferred
