Your Responsibilities

Engineering designer responsible for component and assembly drawing details for vacuum booster and/or master cylinder products. Main tasks will be to provide design support to Product Engineers in support of OE customer programs. Drawing and 3D model creation, release, and updates for prototypes and production products. Generate engineering stackups. Create BOMs for vacuum booster and master cylinder assemblies. Complete engineering and manufacturing plant change requests. Create models to support customer requests, evaluate packaging in the vehicle environment and to support engineering development activities

Job Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor or Associate degree in drafting or equivalent technical field. 3 years in mechanical design field. Detailed knowledge of Catia V5, (Smarteam and SAP environment is a plus) Knowledge and experience with GD&T and component and assembly stackups. Experience with OE customer CAD environments and interfaces. Ability to work effectively in team environments with internal and external customersDesired: Five years experience in automotive industry or hydraulic/pneumatic product design. Experience with automotive actuation products,vacuum boosters and master cylinders. Experience with CAD FEA tools. Spring design, seals and rubber component knowledge, design of injected molded parts and design of deep drawn parts, general manufacturing techniques, aluminum machining, and component assembly techniques
