As a Senior IS Systems Administrator, youll work with IS professionals across the business and around the world to facilitate project completion and provide advance systems support within Manitowocs back office, server, and storage infrastructure. Youll also actively participate in the business planning process while aligning the companys enterprise goals, objectives, and center of excellence vision to the back office, server, and storage strategy. Responsibilities include server operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage area network platforms, data center design and operations, systems alerting, monitoring and response, information lifecycle management, and high availability, along with backup and recovery efforts. This position will also help facilitate continuous improvement and ITIL alignment.
Reporting directly to the Lead IS Systems Administrator, this position will be located at Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide project management and leadership in all systems administration related projects by serving as either primary or backup resource.
- Proactively maintain existing core infrastructure technologies and processes.
- Facilitate problem resolution and creation of preventative measures as necessary.
- Mentor and foster knowledge sharing for the Back-Office professionals throughout the business unit as well as the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year strategy with technology road maps for Back-Office by actively participating in enterprise center of excellence (CoE) activities.
- Develop and maintain service level agreement targets and objectives. Prepare high level report for Back-Office reporting on key accomplishments and KPIs.
- Actively engage and manage Back-Office vendor relationships both internally and externally.
- Deliver optimal back office services at the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- In addition, a Senior IS System Admin must also demonstrate an ability to champion change, to influence others, to engage and inspire peers or colleagues, and to work effectively within the ITIL framework specifically focused on change, release & incident management. Focusing on creating and maintaining a stable network infrastructure is key.
- Further to this, a Senior IS System Admin must have a passion to excel, to deliver results and to deliver value to the business. Along with this is the ability to think and act with a global mindset; to consider the impact to the entire enterprise and not just the specific business unit.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or Management of Information systems and 5-7 years of information technology experience is required. A minimum of 9 years of information technology experience would be considered in lieu of the degree.
- **** Microsoft MCITP Required within One Year of Employment Commencement
Desirable:
- PMI, VCP and additional Microsoft certifications a plus.
- Six Sigma DMAIC/DMADV knowledge and/or certification a plus.
- International travel experience with secondary language skills.
- Strong exposure to SOX and related financial controls.
- Multi-lingual (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Mandarin) a plus
