Salesforce Developer

Our Client uses the Salesforce CRM to track various Program Administration functions. They enter and update data using the Salesforce backend application; our customers use the Salesforce Customer Portal.

 

Our Client has the need for a Salesforce Developer to assist their technology team in its on-going CRM development projects. The candidate will be responsible for custom development on the force.com platform. Software releases are deployed to our quality assurance (QA)/training and production environments using the Dream factory Snapshot tool.

This is a contract position with the potential of becoming a direct hire.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Based on requirements the developer will define a solution, this must include the architecture, technical specification as it relates to the customization and/or integration, and level of effort.
• Recommend alternate solutions, trade-offs and impact analysis.
• Develop application code for the Salesforce backend application and the Salesforce Customer Portal using Visualforce and Apex to ensure that the design specifications are met.
• Work with a Release Manager to deploy through QA/training environment to our production environment.
• Perform documentation and code walkthroughs for the the clients technical team.
• Help in the administration of the Salesforce system.
• Develop or use Apex Data Loader, Task Factory, SQL and ETL.

Job Requirements

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

• Solid understanding of Salesforce, including:
  • Application customization 
  • Salesforce.com administration 
  • Salesforce Customer Portal
  • Reporting tools 
  • Data import/export tools
  • API integration

 

• Apex and Visualforce programming experience
• Experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java or C#
• Experience with Apex Data Loader, Task Factory, SQL, ETL and SOAP API
• Desired experience with a version control system such as Git, a change management tool like StratoSource, and Rally for development stories.
• Ability to follow an agile or iterative software development methodology
• Excellent unit testing abilities with strong attention to detail
• Desired experience to package and promote code between environments using DreamFactory’s SnapShot.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player
• Understanding of business and technical process interrelationships
• Strong capabilities performing independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast paced environment
• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

 

 

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• The position requires a minimum of five years of experience working in the field of IT demonstrating progressive levels of technical competence and responsibility.
• The position requires a minimum of two years of experience developing in a Salesforce environment.
• Salesforce certified developer is desirable
