Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer (Sensors) for a direct hire opportunity located in Auburn Hills, MI.

 

OVERVIEW:

 

Product Engineer-Electrical: Designs, develops, and evaluates sensor assemblies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identify customer needs and develop electronic designs to meet all applicable requirements.

2. Identify appropriate sensing technology and organizes functional model development (including design, building, and testing) to verify sensor design concepts.

3. Perform analog design, digital design, and embedded firmware design for sensors.

4. Selection of appropriate electronic components including: microprocessors, ASICs, analog interfaces, and power interfaces for high volume, low cost products.

5. Use of Altium design tools for schematic capture and board layout.

6. Real time programming in C and Assembly for Intel/Motorola/Microchip 8-bit microcontrollers.

7. Procure prototype PCBs and perform testing to ensure correct operation.

8. Test and debug of complex electronic circuits.

9. Create and maintain engineering documentation such as bills of material, DFMEA, prototype process flows, specifications, and other types of engineering documentation including Design Validation plans.

10. Coordinate efforts with customer engineering to provide necessary technical support.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

 

4-year college degree in Electrical Engineering

 

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

3- 5 years related experience.

Electromechanical design experience

Experience in high volume manufacturing.
