Job Summary:

Responsible for analyzing and reviewing mortgage loan credit applications completed closed packaged to determine if the loan meets the guidelines set by the Bank, investors, standard guidelines established by FNMA, FHLMC, USDA, VA and FHA.

The level of work is considered senior level and staff work under general supervision. This position has no direct reports.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs pre-closing analysis on loan documentation submitted for underwriting on selected loan samples. Ensures all required documentation is present to validate AUS findings. Performs detailed analysis of property valuation. Ensures all additional Bank and investor requirements are met on each loan transaction. Ensures all compliance guidelines and documentation requirements are met.

2. Perform post-close analysis on complete closed loans selected for review to determine if the loan met the Bank, investor, or insurers requirements.

3. Ensures all third party resources are reviewed to validate critical risk components of the mortgage credit file. Reviews AVM, IRS tax transcripts and any other third party resource utilized to validate accuracy of data in the mortgage credit file. Review all reverifications to ensure that the information that was provided to make the loan was indeed true and accurate

4. Performs additional duties as required

Job Requirements



High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

5 or more years of related work experience in underwriting residential mortgage loans

Verbal and written communications skills.

Strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

Ability to independently evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions.

General knowledge of Bank products and processes.

Knowledge of systems including Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software products used in support of the business.

Attendance and punctuality required in accordance with Bank practices
