Job Description

1. Sales Engineering
•Preparation of presentation materials.
•Presentation to customers in order to promote business.
•Technical negotiations with customers after presentation.

2. Product Planning
•Coordination for project strategy.
•Investigation for technical trend, market trend, product trend, and regulations, etc.

3. Design
•Planning and coordinating product specifications.
•Creation of specifications and documents based on customer requirements, related parts specifications, and design policy.
•Modification of Specifications based on design test results, trial production results and vehicle test results, etc.
•Technical reports and negotiations for requirements of customer, plants, supplier, etc.
•Design-in activity at customer. (Create customer drawings)
•Review and issue internal drawings.
•Administration of related documents.
•Design quality improvement.
•Extract problems from manufacturing plants and market.
•Analyze the root cause for in-line defects and market failure.
•Solving products problems.
•Confirm the effects of the countermeasure.
•Establish the design standards.
•Parts localization.
•Research and recommend capable suppliers.
•Make the drawing for local suppliers.
•Evaluate Proto-samples.
•Benchmarking for primary responsible products.

4. Evaluation
•Planning & Preparation of evaluation.
•Product Evaluation. (Durability test, Vehicle test, etc.).
•Find problems of products out from the process and product itself.
•Make and explain the test result report to custome
•Investigate, plan and order the equipment for evaluation tests and jig.

5. Engineering Support to Customers and NAPs.
•Products launch support (Resident Engineering at Plants) to NAPs and customers.
•Attend investigation meeting of off-tool and off-process parts at customer plant with NAP members.
•Provide new products information to NAPs.
* Exceed responsibilities due to situation.
* Overtime fluctuates due to situation.

Job Requirements

2-5 years of related professional experience for electronics engineering job.  Especially following related experiences are desirable such as Electro-Magnetic Sensor or Actuator Engineering for Automotive system. (Hall effect IC Sensors, Electrical Solenoid Valve, DC Motor etc.)
2D and 3D modeling skill using CATIA or some design tools and mechanical drawing skill.

•Related Production Engineering knowledge
•Bilingual Japanese language skills would be helpful

Education/Training/
Certifications Required   Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field
