Automatic Code Generation Deployment Engineer at Novi


Working under the direction of Pilot Engineering Senior Team Leader 3, will be responsible for supporting major corporate customers in the usage of Real Time Workshop Embedded Coder by recommending technical approaches using the existing products, providing customized solutions for advanced applications and collecting requirements and will help establish strong technical relationships with key customers.

Responsibilities

Will leverage skills in C, C++, Perl, MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow to provide advanced code generation solutions. Will generate excitement, confidence and passion for usage of Real Time Workshop Embedded Coder in complex production deployments. Will serve as primary point of contact to select customers using Real Time Workshop Embedded Coder and other related tools to provide technical assistance from short questions/answers to detailed deployment plans. Will work directly with select customers to establish project road maps for Real Time Workshop Embedded Coder deployments. In addition, will establish deployment requirements and work with other development engineers to implement required features or determine how to use existing features most effectively and will establish technical procedures for solving complex deployment problems. Moreover, will work closely with sales teams focused on a fast paced and continually evolving strategy for successful adoption of tools for deployments. Requires frequent travel and on short notice.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Control Systems and no experience.

Special Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise developing processes to convert fixed-point C code for embedded systems to Simulink models and validate the results including software architecture extraction techniques, software in the loop testing and analysis, measurement of model and code coverage, and correlation and analysis of conversion results.
  • Demonstrated expertise customizing production level automatic C code generation using Real Time Workshop and Embedded Coder for use in rapid prototyping environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing HIL hardware in the loop systems and developing test automation environment using MATLAB and Python coding and communications protocols (CAN, ASAP3, Serial) for ECU and control strategy testing and validation.
