TOP TIER DIRECT HEALTHCARE Client is looking for a Systems Administrator in Detroit, MI.

We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator Specialist.  This Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting our MS Windows infrastructure and virtualization technologies. The ideal individual will have 3-5 years of industry experience, obtained both a degree and certifications, and have a broad knowledge base of the MS, VMware virtualization and supporting networking principles,  Server and blade hardware related technologies.

 

Support of technology infrastructure, hardware, software and office systems support, systems performance, technology integration.

 

With general guidance and coaching, monitors and optimizes servers and/or personal computers. Working with monitoring tools, assess and interprets the logical and physical requirements of systems and applications in relation to hardware, software and operational needs. Is able to leverage scripting through PowerShell, PowerCLI, VBscript and batch to automate processes.

Preferred Departmental Experience:

Experience in implementing and operating Cisco Data Center Unified Computing systems a plus

MS, VMware, Citrix certifications a plus

Cisco DCUCI

Experience designing/configuring/supporting MS based technologies

MS Exchange Server 2010

Office 2007

Trend Micro /  Solid understanding of Malware, Virus Protection concepts,  especially as it relates to VMware and VDI

TrendMicro Deep Security a plus

Basic understanding of NTLM V2, Kerberos, Certificate Authority and management of certificates in the windows environment 

Job Requirements

Top 3 Skills/Exp:

1. Active Directory and Windows Server adminstration and troubleshooting,

2. Vmware and virtualizaion and

3. Scripting in powershell and / or VB scripting

Required departmental experience:

3 - 5 years experience supporting / troubleshooting distributed / client server / virtualized servers and applications in an enterprise environment >200 servers. Available for On-Call rotation.

2 or more years experience working with virtualization technologies; including the following: VMware vSphere 5: (Citrix Xen Suite a plus)

Proficient in VMware performance, capacity planning, monitoring, virtualization analysis, and consolidation activities.

Experienced with VMware enterprise features (DRS, HA, VMotion, VCB, SRM, Update Manager)

Experience with securityvulnerability patching of VMWareVsphere hosts and Virtual machines, including deployment and process documentation

2 or more years experience working with PowerShell, VBscript, PowerCLI & Windows batch scripting. Strong propensity to automate routine tasks via scripting. Ability to author scripts (beyond copying and modifying)

2 - 5 years experience supporting MS Windows network infrastructure; including any of the following: Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, Experienced in Certificate Management (Qualys a plus)

Solid experience in Storage and Networking concepts (1-2 years experience)

Demonstrated Project Management experience and prioritization skills
