Marketing Specialist at Monroe

Job Description

The Marketing Execution Specialist would manage select marketing programs and projects within the department.  Help ensure current marketing programs are being properly executed in the field, while also helping assess / quantify best practices developed and fostered by independent dealers.  Work with agency field team on specific marketing requests and programs.  Own the day to day relationship with fulfillment partner, as well as work with others in the department to ensure marketing materials are properly stocked. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help promote and manage the consistent execution of marketing programs.
  • Help develop and implement communications and promotional programs designed at supporting key company deliverables.
  • Assist with planning and reviewing creative and rotation for National television campaign.
  • Ensure delivery of executable projects, including managing schedules, scope, quality and budget.
  • Provide regular reports on the performance of marketing programs, (participation, investment, consumer impressions, etc.)
  • Work with internal and external teams to help customize / develop programs and strategies for various events and promotions.
  • Perform pro-active risk assessment, management and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve service to dealers / sales team and work with vendors to implement those changes.
  • Work with agency field teams to ensure dealers are properly supported with the necessary marketing assets / tools.
  • Ensure environment, materials and resources are in place for the success of projects.
  • Help assess / quantify best practices developed by entrepreneurial dealers to extend growth opportunities to all stores.
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with fulfillment vendor.
  • Work with fulfillment and print vendors to ensure La-Z-Boy inventories are at appropriate levels.
  • Manage delivery and customer service of all Grand Opening display orders.
  • Work with Cover Quality team for shelf stock and major chain swatch orders.
  • E1 receiving responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 1-3 years marketing experience required.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Previous vendor management experiences a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Requires discipline to keep estimates, documents and timekeeping up to date.
  • Requires proven ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Intense focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint required).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with team members, vendors and partners.
  • The ideal candidate should have the ability to multitask and prioritize, demonstrate initiative and work well in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and develop accurate, effective resolutions.
