Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior /Lead Engineer -Advanced Controls Engineer opening to join our Engineering organization.

 

Day to Day:

The Senior /Lead Engineer -Advanced Controls Engineer role has primary responsibility for the delivery of robust electrical control systems that integrate seamlessly into new or existing appliances. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative electronic features that delight our customers. This person will be the key focal point for specifying software solutions, that can be implemented in projects and drive cross regional reuse. You will possess a strong desire and the skill to drive critical design decisions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow your systems engineering, embedded design, and project management skills while working with a world class controls team.

 

What you will do:

• Work in the rapidly growing field of advanced appliance controls to create and deliver customer focused solutions in an advanced devlopment environment.
• Define ways for software and specification reuse from region to region and sub platform to sub platform
• Work with product delivery teams and software teams to make sure that this reuse is happening.
• Work on controls projects within fabric care Advanced development to identify control system needs and implementation paths.
• Possible coding of software for development projects
• Work with algorithm modeling teams to ensure models are constructed in a way that can be used to develop software.
• Conduct product/process FMEAs and technical design previews
• Provide key solutions to challenging issues
• Work with and learn from a world class controls team

 Requirements

Qualifications

What you Need to Succeed:

• B.S. in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or the equivalent in demonstrated knowledge
• Minimum 5 years experience in an electrical engineering field
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Knowledge of control theory and algorithm design
• Outstanding inter-personal skills with the specific ability to interact as a leader
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Capability to work across functional boundaries to solve problems
• Ability to travel domestically or abroad
• Understanding of embedded hardware and software design is required with an emphasis in software
• Experience with system simulation tools or modeling tools is a plus
• Experience in the field of Systems Engineering is a plus
