MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Mechanical Engineer Job
Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong background in product development, heat transfer / thermodynamics, and 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred). You will work with a team on the mechanical design and engineering of fuel cell stacks and integration of electromechanical subassemblies into a complete system. Must have ten years of product design engineering experience working with products involving heat transfer and thermodynamics. Direct hire position in southeast Michigan,Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of fuel cell stacks and electro-mechanical subassemblies for fuel cell products
• Design and test products through the design, development, and validation process to integrate fluid mechanical and electrical subsystems with the latest fuel cell technology.
• Work with Product Engineering and Business Development teams to understand customer and system requirements for fuel cell performance
• Work with manufacturing to introduce new fuel cell stack and subassembly designs to production operations

Requirements

• BSME
• 10 years of design engineering experience working with products involving heat transfer and thermodynamics
• At least 5 years of experience in a product engineering and manufacturing environment , designing products for manufacturability
• Demonstrated ability to use3D CAD software for product design, Solidworks is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean, DFMA, Six Sigma and FMEA
