Plant Quality Engineer

 Job Posting Eberspaecher North America is a full-service Tier I supplier, assuming complete responsibility for the conception, development and production of automotive, commercial and off road exhaust systems. We began our North American operation in the year 2000 with three employees. Currently we have six manufacturing sites, a state of the art Technical Center in Novi, MI, and over 900+ employees. As we forge ahead, building on our presence in North America, we are seeking to add to our talented staff.

We currently have an opening for a Plant Quality Engineer at our Wixom location.

Position responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:

Minimum Qualifications•  Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or related field•  5+ years experience in a Plant Quality Engineer role•  Automotive manufacturing experience with a Tier One level customer•  TS-16949 implementation techniques•  Thorough understanding of statistical quality control and corrective action process including PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, SPC, DOE, and Gage R&R•  Knowledge of measuring equipment, gage calibration, gage R&R studies GD&T•  Excellent PC skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office•  Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time •  Willing to work overtime•  Proficient in root cause analysis•  Experience with assembly, welding, and sheet metal processes Primary Tasks•  Perform quality activities to support assembly manufacturing through the establishment and implementation of manufacturing processes and supporting documentation including work instructions•  Engage in product review, PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, and all other applicable areas of APQP/PPAP•  Assist Quality Manager in coordination of plant quality and implementation of programs•  Driving improvement through the use of PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC•  Acts as liaison with customers and suppliers•  Ability to analyze and review quality reports to verify compliance, monitor performance, and detect potential process of shift problems•  Updating and creating quality process documentation If you feel you meet these qualifications or know someone who does, please send your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resum].  RequirementsMinimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or related field• 5+ years experience in a Plant Quality Engineer role• Automotive manufacturing experience with a Tier One level customer• TS-16949 implementation techniques• Thorough understanding of statistical quality control and corrective action process including PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, SPC, DOE, and Gage R&R• Knowledge of measuring equipment, gage calibration, gage R&R studies GD&T• Excellent PC skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office• Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time • Willing to work overtime• Proficient in root cause analysis• Experience with assembly, welding, and sheet metal processes
